The Conga is a coaster that automatically stirs your beverage for you. The prototype uses a pressure sensor that senses if you have placed a cup on top of it. A small servo inside then starts to spin the top and thus the cup that is placed on the Conga. A strong magnet inside the body of the prototype holds the spoon inside your cup in its place, stirring your beverage in another way than you would expect. After half a minute the Conga stops spinning and your beverage is stirred.
The Conga is made out of a wooden frame that is laser cut. The outside is also made out of wood that is laser cut in a special way to make it bendable. The small lines make the surface of the Conga repel water, so does the top that is made out of a hydrophobic layer. The whole prototype is wireless, light and easy to take apart through a magnetic opening and closing system.
