These are a few photos from the cover shoot for the UNiD magazine. The theme of this issue was “Arise”, filled with stories about overcoming struggles and rising above ourselves. Style wise, the entire issue is filled with 70’s graphics and photos, making these photos fit the retro atmosphere perfectly.
The idea of the photo shoot was directly linked to the theme of rising. Rising balloons in the color of lust and desire describe the perfect decor for the image. On the other hand, the balloons, being a symbol of joy and festivity, are enclosing the model. This shows the person being imprisoned are almost drowning in the thing that made her happy in the first place. Therefore she has to overcome her struggle and control separate elements, being the balloons, to rise above her ‘caught’ self.
